2020 Mercedes Benz AMG C63 S Cabriolet..Say no more..there are not enough words to describe this beautiful, elegant and stylish convertible. Just say the name AMG C63 S Cabriolet and any car enthusiast will know that this convertible is a piece of art.

Art on Wheels. If Leonardo da Vinci could live and buy a car today, he will love to drive the C 63 S Cabriolet, as any art connoisseur would love art on wheels like this one. Yes! also Leonardo Di Caprio could enjoy driving this elegant Cabriolet, just like you and me.

2020 C Class Cabriolet

The Mercedes-Benz C-Class comes in three body styles: sedan, coupe, and convertible Cabriolet, the Cabriolet is the maximum expression of art and design within the C Class. Even if C Class sounds like one of the less expensive lineups in the Mercedes Brand, when you talk about C Class Cabriolet is a game-changer with premium luxury Cabriolets like the one I am test driving C63 S with pricing close to $90K and fully loaded with power and luxury. The first Mercedes-Benz C-Class Cabriolet was revealed at the 2016 Geneva auto show.  This Cabriolet is based on the C-Class Coupe, with a nice soft roof to cover the four-seats. The Cabriolet maintains the same basic dimensions as the C Class Coupe, but is slightly taller. The fabric roof can be opened or closed in 20 seconds at a speed of up to 31 MPH. When the roof is opened it is stored inside the trunk, reducing cargo space.

Trim Levels

The 2020 Mercedes Benz Cabriolet C class is available as 3 AMG trim models, and 2 non-AMG models.  Cabriolet buyers have five C class options to choose from.

  • C 300 Cabriolet
  • C 300 4Matic Cabriolet
  • AMG C43 Cabriolet
  • AMG C 63 Cabriolet
  • AMG C 63 S Cabriolet (the one I am test driving)

Price

Each 2020 Mercedes Benz Cabriolet C class has very different pricing. The base model C300 Cabriolet starts with an MSRP of $53,950 and the top model I am test driving the 2020 Mercedes Benz AMG C63 S Cabriolet has a Price of $84,900 MSRP.

  • 2020 Mercedes Benz AMG C63 S Cabriolet, Price $84,900 MSRP

The top of the line C-Class AMG C63 Cabriolet with a price around $85K is fully loaded, but for some buyers might be better to jump into the E-Class Cabriolet starting at $73,400 MSRP.   It is good to have choices, and Mercedes gives you a wide price range with Cabriolet Models. If you decide to go for the S-Class Cabriolet then be ready to jump higher than $100K.

2020 Mercedes Benz AMG C63 S Cabriolet Super Performance

The Mercedes-AMG C 63 S is performance ready, at the very highest level that can be seen and experienced with a German car. This Cabriolet is fully loaded with high-tech components based ibn motorsports and performance. The C 63 S is designed with striking and expressive extreme dynamics. In the inside, the AMG is present in every detail combining perfect fusion between first-class materials and sporty design. Technology includes the navigation system that is top-notch and the graphics are better than those of the previous year. Other standard extras include USB ports, an SD card reader and Bluetooth. This Cabriolet is compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The interior is compact but very beautiful, very stylish and full of led lights everywhere. It feels that the engine takes more space than the inside, something that you can feel when pushing the accelerator and getting to very high speeds in seconds. The C 63 S is ready for open-air performance with its beautiful Cabriolet style. Very practical for warm weather like the sunshine State of Florida where I am test driving this Mercedes Benz convertible.

AMG C 63 S MOST POWERFUL CABRIOLET IN ITS CLASS

A 503-hp handcrafted biturbo V8 makes the C 63 S the most powerful cabriolet in its class. Aggressive style and advanced technologies. The nine-speed automatic transmission has shorter shift times for faster performance and speed

The V8 biTurbo engine feels more than powerful, is an airplane on wheels, producing 503 Horsepower.

Handcrafted Engine

The Handcrafted AMG 4.0L V8 biturbo engine with massive torque reaches its 516 lb-ft peak at just 1,750 rpm, and holds it all the way to 4,500 rpm, for a 3.9-second 0-60 time and instant acceleration at any speed.

Each AMG C 63 S engine is still hand-built and signed by its own craftsman.

AMG has developed a high-output but compact engine for performance of the next decade. The 503-hp 4.0L V8 biturbo engine is very responsive and produces better fuel-efficient than its larger predecessor, ready for the new era. Driving dynamics are supported by AMG RIDE CONTROL steel suspension with adaptive damping adjustment, electronically controlled rear-axle limited-slip differential, which is now standard on all C 63 options. Dynamic engine mounts, which are part of the standard equipment on all C 63 S models, resolve the conflict between comfort and dynamic performance, by reducing vibrations in the engine and transmission. The dynamic mounts adapt their rigidity to the driving conditions and style of driving instantly and variably. Also, soft engine mounts improve comfort, as they provide more effective decoupling of noise and vibration. The result is more precise vehicle control and connection driver/vehicle, just like the virtual race engineer for recording data when driving on closed-off race tracks, AMG Track Pace provides a significantly extended and even more precise scope of functions. Data logger for use on the race track.. The supercharged C 63 S comes with AMG Track Pace is a standard, love this feature!

Active Brake Assist with Radar-based technology

Futuristic radar-based technology can alert you if you’re approaching a vehicle or stationary object too close in distance to suggest that a collision may occur. This smart system responds fast, as you start to brake, it can automatically provide an appropriate level of braking to help prevent a collision or reduce it.  If you fail to respond, it can also initiate braking automatically at a range of driving speeds. This radar system can also detect and react to crossing pedestrians at typical city speeds.

Interior

The 2020 MB AMG C63 S Cabriolet has a beautiful interior design with standard 10.25-inch high-resolution center display. This screen offers great resolution readouts, navigation maps, and illustrated and animated menus. The display is mounted in the middle top for better viewing. Split-screen options let you display multiple functions at the same time and you can access the screen via the console controller or right Touch Control Button on the steering wheel. The AMG-exclusive gauge cluster features Standard AMG S instrumentation with illuminated red indicators and unique AMG graphics within silver metallic details.  Exclusive to the AMG S-Model you will find red accents. Easy accessible with your steering wheel you can scroll through a variety of useful menus, including two exclusive AMG performance menus. Exterior design with Performance in Mind The exterior of the new C 63 S is impressive. It highlights Mercedes Benz identity with the performance models with the AMG-specific radiator trim with vertical louvers in high-gloss chrome.  The design is enhanced with a redesigned transverse fin in the outer air inlets, the front bumper in A-wing design gives an even stronger emphasis to the width of the vehicle. The cabriolet exterior is the optimal combination of aerodynamics, weight and brake cooling, for maximum performance and optimum efficiency. Aerodynamically optimized AMG light-alloy wheels continue to perfect this beautiful exterior design.
